Payment links

Create checkout links without a full API or WooCommerce integration.

Payment links let merchants collect payment with a hosted checkout URL.

They are useful when a merchant wants to accept payment without building an API integration or installing WooCommerce.

  1. Invoices
  2. Email checkout links
  3. Social selling
  4. Manual orders
  5. Early merchant rollout

Yera Connect supports three payment link types:

  1. Fixed amount links - the merchant sets the amount and the customer pays that exact amount.
  2. Open amount links - the merchant sets the currency and amount rules, then the customer enters the amount on the hosted Yera Connect page.
  3. Subscription links - the merchant creates a manual recurring plan. Yera Connect creates a subscription record and first invoice, then the customer pays the invoice through hosted checkout.

For subscription MVP, Yera Connect does not automatically charge a customer crypto wallet. Recurring cycles are handled as manual invoices/payment sessions.

What merchants can include

A payment link can include:

  1. Amount
  2. Fiat currency
  3. Customer email if known
  4. Description
  5. Order or invoice reference
  6. Settlement asset
  7. Expiration or reuse settings when supported
  8. Required customer fields for open amount and subscription links
  9. Optional embed domain restrictions for website buttons

Use clear descriptions so the customer knows what they are paying for.

  1. Merchant chooses fixed amount, open amount, or subscription.
  2. Merchant enters amount, currency, and rules for that link type.
  3. Merchant chooses the settlement asset.
  4. Yera Connect creates a hosted checkout URL.
  5. Customer opens the link and pays.
  6. Dashboard records the payment session and transaction.

Customer experience

The customer receives or opens the checkout URL, reviews the payment details, completes payment on the hosted checkout page, and then sees the result page.

The merchant can track the payment from Payment sessions and Transactions.

For open amount links, the customer enters the amount before the checkout session is created. Yera Connect validates the amount against the saved minimum and maximum values on the server.

For subscription links, the customer enters required details and starts the subscription. Yera Connect creates the first invoice and payment session unless the plan has a trial.

Embed code

Every payment link detail view includes:

  1. Direct link
  2. HTML button code
  3. JavaScript widget code
  4. QR code
  5. Button preview

HTML embeds use a public link only:

<a href="https://checkout.yeraconnect.io/pay/YC_0123456789ABC" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pay Now</a>

JavaScript embeds load the public widget and redirect to hosted checkout:

<script src="https://yeraconnect.io/v1/checkout.js"></script>
<button data-yera-checkout="YC_0123456789ABC" data-yera-mode="redirect" data-yera-theme="light">Pay Now</button>

Subscription widgets use:

<script src="https://yeraconnect.io/v1/checkout.js"></script>
<button data-yera-subscription="YC_0123456789ABC" data-yera-mode="redirect" data-yera-theme="light">Subscribe Now</button>

Embed code never contains merchant secret API keys, provider keys, webhook secrets, or private wallet material.

Currency behavior

The merchant chooses the fiat currency on the payment link form. The checkout uses that selected currency.

Use payment links when:

  1. The order is manual.
  2. The merchant sells through chat, email, or social channels.
  3. The merchant does not need a product catalog checkout.
  4. The merchant wants to test Yera Connect quickly.
  5. The merchant wants a reusable checkout link.

Use WooCommerce when the customer should add products to cart, choose shipping, and complete checkout inside a WordPress store.

  1. Create a sandbox payment link.
  2. Open the generated checkout URL.
  3. Complete the test payment.
  4. Check the payment session status.
  5. Check the transaction record.
  6. Confirm webhook delivery if a webhook URL is configured.

For open amount testing, create a link with a minimum and maximum amount, then verify amounts below the minimum and above the maximum are rejected before checkout.

For subscription testing, create a monthly plan, start the subscription from the public link, confirm the first invoice appears in the dashboard, and complete the generated checkout session.
