Quick start
A short path from merchant account setup to the first sandbox checkout.
Use this checklist when you want to understand Yera Connect quickly and run the first safe test checkout.
Quick start is for merchants who want the fastest path from account setup to a working sandbox payment. It does not replace the full setup guide, but it helps confirm that the business, wallet, API keys, checkout, and webhook flow are connected.
1. Prepare the merchant account
Open the dashboard and confirm these items first:
- Company profile is complete.
- Account status is approved or ready for sandbox.
- Default fiat currency is selected.
- Settlement asset is selected.
- An active settlement destination is configured for the exact environment, asset, and network you will test.
Do not start checkout testing until settlement readiness for the exact environment, asset, and network has been confirmed under Wallets & Settlements.
2. Create API keys
Go to:
Dashboard -> API Keys
Create a key for the integration you are testing.
For WooCommerce, copy your Merchant ID, Yera API Key, and Security Code from the API Credentials page. Paste all three inside WordPress Admin under the Yera Connect plugin settings.
For hosted checkout or direct API integration, store your Yera API Key only on your server. The API key must not be placed in frontend JavaScript or public code.
3. Choose a checkout method
You can test using:
- WooCommerce plugin
- Payment links
- Hosted checkout API
- Direct checkout session API
Choose only one method for the first test. After that method works, you can add other methods.
4. Understand the customer flow
In a normal checkout flow:
- A customer creates an order or opens a payment link.
- Yera Connect creates a checkout session.
- The customer is redirected to Yera hosted checkout.
- The payment provider processes the payment.
- Yera Connect updates the payment session.
- A transaction is recorded when the payment result is confirmed.
- A webhook notifies WooCommerce or your backend if a webhook URL is configured.
5. Run a sandbox checkout
Create a low-value order or test payment link, complete the checkout, then confirm:
- Payment session appears in the dashboard.
- Transaction status updates.
- Webhook delivery appears under Webhooks.
- WooCommerce order updates if you are testing WooCommerce.
6. Review before live mode
Before going live, confirm:
- Test mode and live mode are clearly separated.
- Live API keys are not copied into test environments by mistake.
- An active Live settlement destination is confirmed for the selected asset and network.
- The settlement asset is correct.
- The webhook URL is reachable.
- The first live checkout should be low value.
